Some of you may have noticed that a certain individual hereabouts has a predilection for Pot Noodles and never fails to tell us so when the opportunity arises.
Personally, I find them only marginally more acceptable to my taste buds than a certain instant mash potato.
I would be interesetd to hear the views of others here.....is it possible that I am not preparing them properly?

PS can you get them in Spain, Clive ? /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

staple diet of warehamites....

prepare with very hot water, DON'T STIR! just leave to absorb all the goodness.

when it's nearly ready add 1 teaspoon ful of tabasco, or encona hot sauce... don't use "daves insanity sauce" it's too hot.

leave to cool for about five minutes and enjoy.... this recipie will only work at five to twelve, when you get in from the pub... for cross reference see Kebab in the next section.

regards, steve.

Pot noodles have a place in this world - especially when it comes to boating. What could be easier to prepare on a boat?? Just add boiling water.

Things to keep in the galley...

1) 2 x Pot Noodles
2) Small pots of UHT milk.
3) Tea bags
4) Spaghetti
5) Canned food

Any more "keeps for ever stuff" from the rest of you

Morning Dave
The MOST important thing to keap in your galley is
1-tins of spam (nothing better to start the day)
2-tins of allday breakfast (to supplement spam)
3-powdered tea (just add water, if you get amount right ie. dont use too much, tastes fine)
4-and most importantly hip flask of your favourite malt for when the lady in your life disapears down below "so to speak" in order to warm the bed. Nice nip of scotch and a Cuban cigar Hand rolled on a ladys thigh. Ahh. life is good. All we need now is for summer to appear.
5-more spam(you cant have enough you know)

Ha!! Excellent, excellent!!

I'm off down to Saisbury's to get some tins of all day breakfast, I love 'em. The cigars, on the other hand, would crease me - I haven't smoked since '92.

And Spam - well hey! How could I forget that one?? Not sure about the powdered tea though. My tipple at the end of the day (only occassionally) is dark rum - and Sainsbury's do a good version.

Re: Pot Noodles...No more!

Cant beat a "Shin Cup", available from your local Tesco (No need for the hot sauce with this one). Tastes much better too, go for it. Red packaging with pic and ideogram.

Other essentials include, corned beef, onions, tinned spuds, cheese and crackers.

Dave.

Tabasco is good, Encona scotch bonnett is better, but when you get to Dave's Insanity Gourmet Hot Pepper Sauce you are surely at the pinnacle of the pepper sauce world. My most favourite!
Happy eating......

The Good Food show was where my last bottle came from - but The Chile Foundry does it too (look at the 'Daves Gourmet' section).
