Following on from the recent "boring forum" thread heres a boring question how do I post a piccie?

Once I know I will start an "identify me new boat" fred

You can post as an attachment see the FAQs but I have not yet figured out clickable thumbnails vs full size pics in the post.

Most satisfactory method IMHO (and others) is to upload to Photobucket and paste in the IMG code for a full sized pic in the post or the Thumbnail code for a clickable thumbnail.

If you click on the reply to thread button (rather than quick reply) there is a little toolbar and one of the buttons looks like some mountains with a yellow sky.

Click that and a dialog box pops up asking for the web address of your picture. Your picture must already be online somewhere like Flickr or photobucket or whatever. Put the link in the dialog and you're away.

Watch out for the size though. Sites like Flickr and photobucket resize images for you, but don't go linking to the gigantic sized ones something around "medium" (500 or so pixels across, not thousands!) is about right.

If you want to give it a go, the pciture above is located at:

I've given up.

All I get is:

"Server Unavailable

Sorry, our server is currently unavailable due to extremely high demand.

Please try again soon."

Because people want to flag me being unable to complete a simple computer task.

Just tried again:

"Server Unavailable

Sorry, our server is currently unavailable due to extremely high demand.

put message on this. go down to attach files. click manage attachments in additional options. click brows which then brings up my photos on jpeg, click upload, close window. see if it works!!
