I think its because the url doesn't end with a typical 'image' style ending (.gif or .jpg etc). The url returns a webpage rather than just an image which won't help things. Best to host the image on boatones site perhaps?

You could just link to the page with a : <A target="_blank" HREF=http://ww...6/12/2004 15:52 (server time).[/i]</FONT></P>

My god I really do show my lack of intellect every time I come on this blooming site!! Thanks Rick, I'm sure you can explain in words of one syllable, Paul

Planty that's a strange image hosting site. That url takes you to a web page, not just an image. Normally you would right-click on the actual picture, then properties, then you get the url of that actual picture, as opposed to the url of that page. But in this case it doesn't seem to work, as the url of the image seems to be the same as the url of the page.

So it's the web's fault, not yours, imho

Try going to Boatone's excelent site. click on gallery and follow the prompt's. The way in which you have typed is correct so as jfm states it must be a web problem not you.

Boatone has put up an Images How-To on <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.boatsontheweb.com/>his site</A>. Follow the instructions to resize the image, then go into the Photo Gallery section, chose the Boaters Gallery and the second image is a HelpFile on how to upload your image.

Once your image is resized and then uploaded, what I do is get the webpage showing the image and then right-click and select properties. The URL property is the address of the image. That should then be put in between the image tags as you did before.

I'm sure Boatone will correct me if I'm wrong, and thanks again to him for providing the resource.

Rick

That site doesnt allow you to copy the image url thru another website such as ybw. You can only give the url to their site and view by visiting their webpage.
Quite a lot of host sites do this as they dont like images on their server being 'called' by outside sites.
