posting photos

Same as here. Put image on Photobucket, flickr or similar. Get image url. Put URL into image tags
But without the spaces before and after the "and".

The image needs to be on a server somewhere. Like Photobox or Flickr or Picasa or some picture hosting site. You just register and upload the pics. When viewing the picture you right click on it and choose "Copy Image Location" (depends on the browser you are using).
That is the URL of the picture. It is displayed in the address bar at the top of you browser when you are viewing the image. You can copy it from there if you want. Some sites like Photobox offer a variety of different choices of URL, some with image tags already attached, some for thumbnails etc.
Once you have copied it you can type the image tags
and paste the URL between them (leave no spaces). There is a button to do it on the message pane, but the new software makes it into a multiple choice adventure. It's quicker to type the tags.
There is a facility to upload the image to the forum software and display a thumbnail for it, but that seems to create people problems, so I would certainly avoid that.

Just tried it in GoogleChrome and it displays the code for me.
I bet you're using a "device" aren't you? (Ipad if I remember)

I am using Chrome ... on a PC ..

I could not see the code ... just the picture

I changed the editor from Enhanced to Standard .. now I can see the code ..... So looks like it depends upon the editor being used.

I see. I have just set it to Enhanced in Settings. There is a toggle A/A on the top left of the message pane which is "Switch Editor to Source Mode" and allows you to see the code for the piccy or text. Clever.

Photobucket has gone far too complicated for its own good - slow, heavy, cluttered. Imageshack is the D's bs.

I agree The latest version of P'bucket is a great disappointment. Quite a few of the features I used to use are no longer available although some are on the "coming" list.

New forum not accepting clickable thumbnails is also a PITA
