Possibly not new, but does anyone have any instructions for Tab in Mast Reefing

Hi have just bought a a Colvic 29 with a Tab in mast furling system. It’s very stiff to pull out. I think it may be the way it’s been used and that it should come out an
t a slight up angle. But with no instructions it’s just a guess.

Can you ask the previous owner how he did it? In mast furling systems all have there own idiosyncrasies so he would know best possibly.

I don’t think they have used it correctly and they seem to accept that being stiff to operate is normal. Hence the need for some drawings.

FWIW I had a similar system (easyreef), boom angle was crucial. There were times when I thought a more appropriate name for it might have been notsoeasyreef...
