Possible to fiberglass over teak decks?

Forgot to mention. When I did the foredeck and then the afterdeck I have not had to do the side decking as only one bit of ply was soft ( I did that from underneath) Of course you need to take both the fore and after deck repairs some way along the sides to avoid your teak joins looking crap.

Is the bread board stuff as rigid weight for weight as ply? I wouldntworry too much about reusing modern ply especially if you can seal it with epoxy and avoid screwing into it wherever possible!!

I think you need to rip it up as long term its going to cause problems and will also devalue the boat.

Remove the teak deck and assess the damage to ply and then to beams, carlins, beamshelfs etc. Either patch deck or replace all in Marine ply and then epoxy sheeth over and paint it.

Anything less is cutting corners.
