possible new boat-not sure about engines?

We have had our Bavaria 29DC for just over a year and have used and stayed onboard far more than we expected. We have now made the decision to go bigger. After a lot of thought, research and travelling we have decided we would like a Bavaria 33 Sport. We have located one in Dublin which ticks all the boxes, but there are two niggles in the back of my mind. She has a pair of D3 190s, and at 10.4m, 3.45beam and over 7 tonnes displacement will these engines push her along at a respectable speed? I am not looking for a fast boat, I just want to get on the plane with relative ease and cruise at about 25 knots. The other niggle is that she has spent the last four years in fresh water on Irish lakes and rivers. I presume that this would mostly be displacement speeds, and if so would that be detrimental to the engines? Reliabilty is a major issue to me so I dont want to buy a boat that may have ongoing engine problems. All advice welcome!!

It's an unusual engine choice - most would have D4 engines in either 225hp or260hp rating.
The D3 190s will work but expect light load wot to be 26-27knts.

The S34 works perfectly well with KAD32s at 170hp so the 35 would be fine but I'd want it at a significant discount kver a similar year D4 boat. The S34 is ok with the 32s as this was the most popular choice, the B35 is always going to be a bit oddball in this spec

I have decided against this boat. There is no service history, apparently the owner is a mechanic and has serviced her himself. Not a good combination, plus I still have concerns about the power.

I get my engines serviced every year by a heavy machine (large cranes, JCBs etc) mechanic friend - they are better looked after than being done by our local VP dealer. I keep the invoices for parts etc. but that's all I have for service history. Engines are 12 year old KAD32's and serviced to VP schedule.

This year he did a friends boat that has only been looked after by the local VP dealer - he found a very dirty air filter with a date stamp of 2004 (same age as the boat), the other having a 2011 stamp which was close to the last time they should both have been changed and odd oil filters - i.e. one engine had a genuine VP and the other one a pattern part.

I know who I would rather have doing my boat!!

Point taken, but he could be a motorbike mechanic for all I know. I have spoken to a friend with D3s in a Monteray 315 and he finds it struggles to plane with a 4 adults and 2 kids onboard, and his boat is 3 tonnes lighter than the Bavaria.
