Here's a clip of a huge Basking Shark I took from the flybridge at the beginning of August, about halfway between Ardrossan & the Isle of Arran - not far short of the length of our 35ft boat - kinda takes your breath away !

(Even a blue whale isn't several orders of magnitude larger)

Wikipedia reckons 180 tonnes or 403,200lbs for a blue whale. That could count as 3 orders of magnitude and as the crude counting method goes - "one, two, several" .....
