Among 10 june Sunday offers is a battery powered, remote controlled, 20 white LED, weatherproof camping lantern. Got a compass as well! See here

It might just make an anchor light. First time I have seen one with 20 LEDs the most I have seen previously was 12.

I know I know it wont comply with the colregs, the brightness wont be even all the way round but unlike my "hurricane" lamp it'll stay alight in more than a force 1 and might be visible for more than a boats length away.

I keep looking at things like this and thinking they could be handy, but I am not sure how they would stand up to the environment and stowage. If not as an anchor light, they would be nice to have over the cockpit and turn on when returning from a shopping trip to the bar. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The self-inflating mats may make good cockpit cushions. I have some of the small seat sized ones & they are good for sitting on or back rests.

Depending on the size, a big one on each side of the cockpit could be perfect for snoozing at anchor after lunch!
