The latest app for the above has just been released. However it has several limitations, including a very basic and not conveniently reversed zoom, the lack of area selectability - "All Greece" or nothing and the lack of an animation facility. I have all of these on my iPod Touch with a much smaller screen but the programmers have not seen fit to include them on the Galaxy version.

Anyone else tried it yet?

Addendum.
This version might be preferred by some who don't like drop-downs and with the very quick loading of the Galaxy, might even be considered an improvement over PCs and iP.ds. The zoom can be improved by selecting "fit to screen" on the opening page to almost acceptable but whilst zoomed, one cannot advance the time-slot and needs to go back to "whole of Greece". The lack of an animation remains.

I wrote my own program for iOS and Android (Nexus 7) to access Poseidon's wind maps and store them locally. It allows full zooming on the maps:

One thing to watch with Poseidon is that they often fail to update the forecast. In the 5 weeks I've been in Greece this has happened 3 times: usually they skip a day, but once they failed to generate a forecast for 3 days, which meant that the one shown on the website was 3 days old. I think that it's a major shortcoming of their site (and I assume the app) that it doesn't make this obvious.

Each day they should generate a forecast for the next 5 days - 2 days at 3hr intervals and 3 days at 6hr intervals. If using the website, check the right-hand pull-down menu of dates and times. If you don't see 5 days forecasts it's not up to date.

The giveaway clue is to look for the start date and time. Ihave nearly got caught a couple of times plus this morning. Forecast available at 0800 was obviously yesterday's as the opening screen showed "Weds...xxxx..." yet that available at 0930 started with today's 0600UTC chart

Poseidon failed to generate a forecast again last night. So the website forecasts are more than 24 hours old.

Does the app make that clear?
