Lovely place but shame that the marinas, other than Gunwharf, are on the Gosport side. The operators are doing thir best, even if one is a bit short on fun palaces. A previous post mentioned shite hawks. Hardly any round Pompey, not like in the West Country. Wow, they can seriously anoint a boat.

You're forgetting Port Solent & what about the Camber. Oh sorry I forgot this is the Stinkie forum. Not enough facilities in the Camber for a Stinkie but you can berth 20ft from the Pub.

As for shitehawks they're all up on the coucil tip next to Port Solent. For the rest of us its the Starlings that feed on the local Blackberry bushes.

I spent a couple of years based in Pompey I hated every moment of it, it was a dump then and I fear it still is, I paid a visit there a couple of weeks back and it has hardly changed IMHO.
