Portable Wood Stove on board?

Pascall Atkey 'Pansy' heater. I have one, unused, in my 'shed....

I'm dubious. The stove next to me is in an alcove, the wee fan is spinning round like the very dickens and flame of a candle held in front of it (my crew's latest test) doesn't budge from the vertical. I still like it, 'cos it looks nice.

We have one too with the same results. However, I use it like a temperature gauge, the hotter the stove the faster it goes around. Nice to watch and a clever idea but I suspect the drafts from the victorian front door shift more air around the house.

Given the amount of wood we burn in a winter heating a 2 bed house I don't know were you would store it all during the previous summer to season it. If you are buying coal bricks, well you may as well buy diesel at least it is available the world over. Skip Novak has some YT videos were he talks about his yachts and the ideas he has incorporated, worth watching as he describes the stoves and heating arrangements.

Aldi had them a few months ago, about £24 iirc. I bought one. It works. I can feel air movement, only a bit, but enough to shift hot air from the alcove in to the middle of the room.
