\'Portable\' oven.

My boats galley space has no room for a conventional oven/cooker setup. I believe there is a 'stove-top' type but I have been unable to locate one. Anyone got any ideas on suppliers?.

Re: \'Portable\' oven.

Coleman make one but it is no longer available in UK. They do come up on E-bay from time to time. Try a search on "Coleman oven" (I suppose that that is obvious really! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif)

I've got one on the boat, it works quite well and folds up when not in use.

I'm assuming you mean gas sort of aerosol size powered ring. Camping shops have the single burners cos I got one when I pulled out old naf stove. About £25 at a guess. Millets ( like e sed ) or those army surplus stores.

If it is a portable oven your after, and not a hob, then I think you can use the Cobbs Gas BBQ as an oven too....

looked for years, gave up bought oven and the next week I found that the camping shop stocked a colapsable on in stainless, for 1/2 burner hotplates. Best that I can sugest.

Have the same problem. Have used a "Dutch Oven" or Skillett, purchased from D&F Promotions at a Boat Show to good effect. We also have an old Presteige Pressure Cooker that will do most of the things an oven will do, but not warm the plates! It keeps food warm very efficiently when a sudden boat necessity gets all hands on deck too!

WOW! What an interesting list of ideas. Thanks to all. Looks like the Cobb which appears very versatile.
