Port St Louis to Palma. Advice please?

I'm thinking of moving our boat from Port St Louis to Palma over our 2 week hols.
Any tips on ports and anchorages worth visiting on the way? Which ones should we avoid?
What about the Golf de Lion? Any advice on weather and sea conditions?

I was hoping you'd do this. Makes sense to use your holiday to move her.

I'm sure jfm and tcm will spill the beans on the Golf de Lion. It gets windy there from time to time, I believe /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Skirt round the Gulf, dont know the french coast there, usually avoid it. You have to stop in to Barcelona for a cold beer on Englander or Tommy! The rest, well just go for it, TCM knows the area very well.

Much to my surprise, Club de Mar don't seem to have a problem giving me my old berth back in August but, like you, it's going to depend on how the boat goes. This will be the first time she's been used apart from seatrials for over a year so I'm expecting probs

Club de Mar now have more boats based there that go away for July and August. I've got daylight on either side of me (leastways I did have last time I looked)
