Hi folks, few questions for anybody familiar with Port d'Arzal-Camoël.

I have a land based contract starting there this coming August and we have our first lift out scheduled for mid-August.

My first question is what transport options are available from the yard to La Roche Bernard?

Is there a local hotel/B&B that folks use to stay in when the boat out of the water (I lift out on a Wed but don’t fly until Thur and plan to get the boat ready for the winter during that time so need somewhere local to stay one night with the family), I’m not sure if they allow you stay on the boat when it’s in the yard but with 3 small kids it’s not something I particularly want to do anyway.

What are the transport options to Nantes airport?
Thanks for the help.

Only options for transport to LRB are taxi or the Vedette Jaune, which offers a one way trip for people who have walked the river. There is very little in the way of public transport from LRB to anywhere useful.
Cheapest way to Nantes Airport is taxi to Pontchateau then train to Nantes. Taxi to airport is c. €140 iirc. For 5 of you this may prove the best option. Rennes may be a better alternative with taxi to Questembert then train from there. There is a list of taxi fares in the window of the capitainerie. You can stay on the boat ashore which is what we did so no knowledge of accomodation, I'm afraid.

Hotel Littoral, Camöel. Basic but clean, friendly and inexpensive. Restaurant: Le Rive Gauche, facing the hotel.

Taxi to Redon; train to Rennes; bus to the airport.
