Hello does anyone have any recent knowledge of Port Cesareo.

We are touching land in that area to pick up friends before heading to Corfu and need to anchor (ideally) of cheap mooring for a couple of nights.

We are on a 45ft Cat.

Were going to go to Brindisi as it is nice and cheap, but may not get all the way round and Gallipoli looks quite pricey for a yacht of our width.

Any advice greatly received thanks

Presume you're heading east along foot of Italy!
There's Santa Maria de Leuca which I've not used but there's a marina and you can anchor in good weather apparently.
I've spent a few nights anchored in Otranto, altho it's a bit popply in a stiff northerly.
It can quite be quite a beat up to Brindisi, leave Otranto as early as poss!
Or use Crotone and miss the "heel" out, going straight to Erikoussa or Corfu.

Cheers for the reply- yes we are going along the boot over to Corfu.

Have to get to somewhere near Brindisi to pick up some friends. Will probably hire a car from Otranto to save the last 5 or 6 hour slog up the hill :)

Thanks for the suggestion on Crotone and Santa Maria
