Anyone come across POR-15 rust preventive paint? I've had it recommended but haven't come across it before. Looking for something to do bilges of a steel hull

I've tried a bit on some rust patches round the car. It's only been on 6 months or so but it seems to be holding up well so far. The stuff I had is black and I have to say that the aerosol primer I used didn't seem to stick too well to it but un the underside of the car it is fine.
There was discussions about this product and other simular rust converting products on then metal boat society forum a while back but no real conclusion as to effectiveness
I have just completed painting my new steel yacht and most I have read is still grit blast and paint with epoxy within 4 hours is still the most effective.
In small areas I have used a needle descaling tool where I could not blast to clean the metal as best as possible
Been using it on VW vans for years. sticks like **** to rusty metal, not so good on clear metal. dries thro moisture and dries rock hard, you can hit it with a hammer and it won't chip.
spill some on the garage floor and the concrete breaks before the paint.
Far far superior to hammerite type paints.
This year painted my keel with it...spoke to the por 15 guys in us and they said 3 coats and it will be good. they also said it was ok for underwater use. dunno how its doing until i lift teh boat next year.
Was going to paint a 26 foot steel boat but was gonna be to expensive.
