The Marines were out and about with the para dropping in Studland bay, The " spooky" stealth boat created one hell of a wash !!

Thanks for looking,

Great pics.

But that's why we only lasted one year in the Port of Poole marina.

The wash from everything from military boats to big powerboats passed through the marina unhindered.

It's a great place for a spot of boat watching but the traffic can be surprisingly varied and constant, so the wash in the harbour (especially in winter when they remove some of the speed limits) can be wearing.

Cheers

Garold

I was reading about the boat from the link Divemaster posted and it said they aren't supposed to produce much wake....so how come there was so much wash?

+1

Whenever we saw it pass through the harbour and approaches it was like one of those record speed attempts and everyone just stared at the spectacle. Not much stealth in evidence.

One reason it could be producing the amount of wash is because they (the marines) have to travel at reduced speed in the harbour as instructed by the H.M
