Anyone go?

Despite the miserable weather seemed to be quite a few diehards around. Loved the Cormate boats, never heard of them before.

The Cormates look v nice in the pictures, not seen one in real life. Are those of us from Essex allowed a wry smile and an elbow-nudge at the name?

Nicerelaxed atmosphere on the pontoons, exhibitors happy to welcome you aboard, shame about the rain!
And the drive from Bristol to Poole is a nightmare, 3 hours!

We went Sunday morning just after the gates opened.. Had some nice chats with one of the Ancasta guys on the Swift Trawer 34, with the guy on the English Harbour Yachts 29 and with one of the guys on the Seaward 29..

Not sure if it was a good or bad thing but they were really limiting the number of people on the side pontoons.. When we were wanting to look at the EHY 29 we were told to wait because there were too many people on the pontoon but looking down we only saw about 5 people in total..

The Amphibious vehicles were pretty cool although the Hummer sized one with it's £700k price tag was a bit scary.. :)

We went on Sat morning and thought it was great, shame it was a bit inclement when we visited and I'm glad it cheered up for all the exhibitors and visitors on Sunday.
Great to look around a nice selection of not mega boats from several makers. The Cormates looked lovely, nice to see Sealine again with another strong showing, we really liked the C330, such a lot going for it for that length, had a good look around the very stylish Beneteau GT46 with a fab cockpit and we really liked the Princess V48, lovely cockpit and interior with a fab mid cabin with good standing room, very well tailored to an owner that has days out with visitors and occasional overnite guests. Am not doing the Poole is better than BMYS thing, it was very different but very enjoyable, we went to Swanick last year and really enjoyed that as well...... actually we like anything to do with boats, simple as that :). It was nice having the little selection of trade stands as well, if that can be increased it would be even better.
