Yep, some great shots. Number 3 and number 6 are my favourites. How do the operate the shutter at the right time? A long exposure on a tripod, I assume.

I liked storms until I was in my house when it was struck by lightning - HUGE bang, the lid flew off the coke boiler in the kitchen and a flame shot across the room. It put a 12 foot hole in the roof and fried the phone (literally - it was smoking!). I was better of than next door, though. We shared the hole, but it trashed his all mains wiring and everything that was plugged in.
pix are taken with a tripod and cable release, medium to fast film. point camera in area of lightning/fireworks, open shutter and close after the flash ends, or with fireworks/lightning, keep open for multiple flashes. usually have lens on wide open and camera set of any auto settings.
