I would like my daughter to have sailing as part of her GCSE for PE. I live near Poole, with the boat in Lymington. Due to logistics, Lym is probably a bit far for what might be training sessions of an hour or so on a regular basis. Any recommendations?

I am not sure Rockley Point is still going ?

Don't know about the quality of training, but when I enquired about instructor positions a long long time ago they were paying far less than what would be the minimum wage !

I'd suggest the OP do a call around to all the sailing clubs in Poole, especially Parkstone who I've found good to deal with and well organised; don't forget Christchurch as well.

The clubs can advise, but for a GCSE qualifucation some travel may be required I think, is the place at Calshot still going ?

Do try the RYA, this is their job - 0845 345 0400.

Rockley is still going.

What sail training are you talking about?
If its dinghy stuff, almost any yacht club will have training sessions, even Royal Lymington. Big boat RYA stuff has age limits.
