Pontoon mooring pole?

Does anyone know of the standing pole sysytem with hook which you can secure to a pontoon to facilitate easy pick up of mooring ropes from the boat? Can't seem to find one anywhere - quite happy to make one - but would be interested to know more!

Saw one at our YC marina home made from rigid plastic tube and regular tee and elbow fittings from B & Q, the stuff used as water pipes I think.

I tie a 5 foot broom handle to the end of the finger berth

and make it stand vertical by hanging a piece of concrete from the end of the handle. The handle hold the mooring line at convenient grabbing height and doesn't snap when people fall against it.
