Last week, we dropped by Polperro on our way back to Plymouth.

We arrived at low tide. The water looked very "grey". Does anyone know if there have been issues with sewage?

I seem to recall fabulous clean, blue/green transparent water in the outer harbour in previous years - but may be that is simply my "old greying fogey" rose tinted specs, looking fondly at the past.

Earlier in the year they had a drilling rig kind of platform just East of Polperro, which I think was to do with the sewage plant and outfall.
Murky water in the harbour could well have come down the stream, had it been raining much?

'Discharge problems' are often related to strong rain and combined sewers.
We've had some localised wetness down here this month.
And some cracking days afloat and walking on the moors.
