Worse than I thought. The Hogsmill(which flows into the Thames at Kingston)was polluted by the sewage works 35 times in 2019.

I've not swum in the river since the late 50s at Crowmarsh beach. IMO, the Thames is an open sewer now what with water treatment discharge and field run off. Still, it's good for the ecology of the river as a former colleague used to say.

Thames water drop raw sewage into the Windrush (enters the Thames at Newbridge) pretty much every time it rains.
If you’re lucky enough to get that far upstream, checkout the difference in colour of the water in the arch at the Rose Revived end of the bridge

A little oik told me I was polluting when my HT6.354's started up this morning(they're not excessively smokey, but today's youth has been brainwashed). Then a passing Richmond resident (probably LibDumb) let loose with a fake cough.
I hope they enjoy swimming in turds while recycling their plastic water bottles and smugly patting each other on the back.
