Evening all, finally splashed my project after 2 years, question is do I polish the fuel, it’s been in the tank for nearly 3 years but looks fine?
I can get a mobile fuel polisher in to do the job.

Get the boat to wobble about a bit, and then take a sample. If it is dark and ggloopy it might be easier and cheaper to remove all the fuel, flush the tank and pipes with a shock dose of one of the chemical killers, and then refill, than have a fuel polisher come and do the job for you.

That way you know you have a clean system from inlet to diesel injectors, and it will be cheaper. Clanger's point about spare filters is important, but it is always good to perceive evidence of contamination before changing expensive filters: it's a risk management vs. OpEx call.
