Help please !
I have a Pocket PC using Windows software and integral GPS. Co-pilot navigation (Land) system is also installed. Will I have to install a Marine Navigation Software package to use C-Map charts ?
Thanks
Ian

Speaking as one who has had a FS Loox N520 and now a Mitac Mio P550 with a similar setup. I have wasted many hours and not a little money in trying to trial navigation software.

My conclusion is it isn't worth the candle- if you really must have a handheld then get a dedicated GPS such as a Garmin which will accept C-Map or somesuch. The configuration difficulties I have had trying to get a PDA/Pocket PC to do everything has been a nightmare

Don't know whether you can use C Map charts wirh Pocket PC, but you can certaily use Maptech charts with their PDA software which works with Windows Mobile and also Ozi Explorer, which is shareware which can use scanned charts.

[/ QUOTE ]OziExplorerCE (the Pocket version) is good but you also need the PC version to calibrate the charts. Quite an expensive solution unless you already use the PC version.
