Plywood, OSB, EcoBoard?

Go to a builders merchants and buy some sheets of phenolic ply.. Its what a lot of trailer and lorry beds are made from.. I used it for a balcony floor on a sea front 6 years ago, no edge protection and still not the slightest hint of delamination or rot .
Its birch ply with phenolic resin..

I have two trailers, the older one was originally floored with ply but it became badly degraded and I got a local blacksmith to fit a sheet of galvanised steel instead. Good solution, still doing well some 20 years later. The newer trailer is an Ifor Williams and has a phenolic ply floor, it's about 6 years old and shows no sign of deterioration, despite being left outside all the time.

I also used phenolic ply a couple of years ago when I refurbished my trailer. I did treat the edges with some special paint available for this phenolic ply. Also used stainless coach bolts to fix the ply to the framework - a little bit more expensive than the BZP type but don't go rusty an a couple of years.

Phenolic ply is an interesting idea. I'll look into it. Did others use "plain" phenolic ply (ie stuff that looks like plain plywood but which has been built with phenolic resin glue or did you use stuff like Buffalo Board which has a tough phenolic layer on one side?
