Thanks to everyone who gave me advice in my previous post on planning this passage. Flying Legend is now safely on her new berth in Bristol.
We left Plymouth just after 1100 on Tuesday morning and made it to the bar at CBYC at 7pm on Wednesday evening. We had a completely mixed bag of weather, left in glorious sunshine but Wednesday was cold and wet. Wind on the nose down to Lands End but good once we came around. Neap tides didn't do a lot to help but also did not hinder us Thursday morning we had a great sail across the channel with a following wind. One of my crew who has sailed all over the world had never sailed in the BC before and was amazed at the speed of the neap tide. I'm looking forward to taking him out on a spring!
Once again thanks for all the advice and if you are passing say hello.
