Plymouth Fireworks

It is the Plymouth firework festival in a couple of weeks and it is the first time that we will be going out to see them in our boat. Any advice from those who have been there/done that in previous years would be very welcome (even if it is don't bother!).

Last time I did it we hung about just to the west of the Melampus buoy, outside the main channel. We had a fantastic view with the fireworks bursting pretty much overhead. Well worth doing. I decided not to anchor in case someone ran us down but it wasn't as crowded as I expected.
