I had a problem with my cockpit engine control panel (known by Vetus as a Generator panel) and after failing to fix it, I ordered a new one. Sods law being what it is, the device is wired differently. The cable terminates in a pultiples plug consisting of 3 rows of 4 sockets that fit into a 12 pin plug in the cockpit locker. I hve worked out how I want to rewire the pins, my question is how? Looking at the plastic casing from the back it looks as though each wire is crimped. However, is it crimped to a spade connector, in which case I presumably pull them out, or are they attached to the pin. If so, how do I get at the pin?

Help deeply appreciated as I hope to launch soon.

Are they spade connectors, in which case they can have a very small spigot which must be prised (from the wire entry end) with a thin screw driver to release the spade.
Or are they round pins, if so they should have a collar where the wire enters the crimp, again the collar needs to be depressed to release the pin.
