Plug up the sail drive hole temp.

If you have a plate on both sides you can bolt though inside the big "ole instead of faffing about drilling new "oles to line up wiv bolt "oles OZ (if you see what I mean). Drilling stainless is always a pain and you don't really want to be doing it when the tide is coming in.... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
I have done exactly that(3 times) using 3 mm aluminium plate to fill the hole left by a Yanmar SD3, sealed with bathroom sealant and used the original bolts with madeup spacers. Left for up to a month on a Portsmouth harbour mud drying mooring and no leaks, Freebird 50 sailing catamaran.
 
Can you stuff the inflatable under the stern to give a bit of lift? Or maybe a lifting bag could keep the hole clear of the water for long enough.
