I am considering buying a new chart plotter and would like any info on best price or best supplier for the Lowrance3500 or similar. any other info would be gratefuly received.
For a good price on the Lowrance 3600 (internal aerial) with Nauticpath charting, I recommend jkmax . But mine came with an old version of software - you need to load new software from the web to get fully functional data transfer.
jkmax seems cheaper than jg if you are getting the Nautipath chart - worth ringing them to see if they can match the 440 tag........as has been suggested they are normally excellent.
redcar and others are all possible but it depends how much time you want to invest in saving £10
actually my price was slightly lower than this shown now - but P&P was a lot lower than others - so final price was a pound or so less - with next day delivery.
Excellent buy !
Oh and the software will likely NOT be latest version wherever you buy ..... so that makes no odds - as you would be checking Lowrance web-site for update anyway - which has full instructions on how to do it.
Thanks for all your ideas, I tried a google search and did not find it easy to find a supplier for this item also looked through old magazines but found it difficult to find prices maybe we should have a dedicated forum for recomended suppliers.

I've been watching the 3500c for a few months - it is advertised by many chandlers in most mags, and a google search produces loads of suppliers. After my final search on Tuesday evening, and a lsat look through the mags, I bought the 3600i yesterday... this is the 3500C with integral antenna.
you've had recommendations for marinescene, mailspeed marine and jkmax, and confirmation that the price is around £440 - £450 with the Nauticpath Chart.
Not too sure what more a dedicated forum could do?
Point taken about the forum! I have been told. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The only reason mentioned it was that in the past I have seen others not to keen to see the "same old question" asked again. Anyway I have just ordered the Lowrance 3600 with the nautic chart so hope to fit it at the weekend.
