We must be talking different models. I have an ebay saved search for the simrad anritsu radar that has failed and its only come up once so far. Are you referring to the raymarine radar that is compatible with my old style C80?

Yes, the analogue RD218. It will work perfectly with your C80 Classic and give you radar/chart overlay.

I wonder how a Simrad radar could work with a C80 (Raymarine C80)?

It would be easy to find a second hand RD218 or even an older Raymarine Pathfinder radar (mind the year built, Raymarine website has the info about the year/serial numbers of the Pathfinder Series compatible with the C and E Classic plotters) that are both compatible with the C80

But, if you really intend to sell, then I would remove the non functioning radar, remove the mast bracket (if on the mast), but leave the attachments and sell the boat throwing in the mast bracket with ready mast attachments as a plus.

Went for just over £500 in the end, not bad for a bit of kit around 10 years old.

Probably about right as it included cable and bracket. Also had the slightly smaller footprint than the analogue RD218.
