Plomong is still alive by the grace of

I really wish I hadn't read this thread before setting of solo. What nightmares are made of. Or perhaps it is good that I've read it, as one certainly won't be complacent after reading it.

And that's to some extent why many have posted their experiences on here -- so others will know to keep a sharp, razor-sharp, lookout, and also to reassure me that I'm not the only one to have had such an experience. One of the strong points of this forum -- experience sharing.

Thanks all of you.

By-the-way, I have sporadic internet access here, both for access reasons and because of time pressures.

Yesterday we saw off the Tall Ships on the first of their races, and will post some pics as soon as I can. We travelled downriver from Waterford with them, as far as Dunmore East and quite some distance beyond, so have quite a selection of close-ups, from all angles. Will take a bit of time to collate and organise them, as some were taken with a professional camera that will require resizing in order not to overload anyones megabit or megabyte limits, so please be patient. They are all copyright of the corresponding "takers", but for personal use there is no problem with keeping or downloading a copy. Just not for commercial use in any form, shape or condition.
