...well in the Middle East at least...
I was there last week of which a couple of days were in Qatar. They have an equivalent of the Palm in Dubai which is called the Pearl http://www.thepearlqatar.com/
Lots of berths free (but to be fair there is still a lot of construction going on and the pontoons look very new).
This rascal caught my eye.. 4 *300HP would love to have a go on that:
and at one end there were some of the larger boats - this was a Mangusta (130 I think) looking quite mean. I liked the name:
