Please I.D. this boat!!!

This has to be a wind up.

banks dont lend 22k these days to a live aboard whome can wander off

Update: I went down to see it yesterday...One look was all it took to realise it was a home build, and not a very well made one either!
The three pics that he had posted on the ad were very flattering, and hid the ridiculous looking stern that appeared to have been an after thought that was tacked on later! The boat was much smaller in reality than the pictures made it appear. The only saving grace with the ugly stern were the folding stainless davits used to hang a tender.
One surveyor I had talked to on the phone told me to go round the boat hitting the underside gently with a hammer...Any thin spots would sound different to thicker spots...I immediately found quite a few thin spots!
Climbing down into the engine bay I could see that the inside of the hull had been painted in places, but not everywhere, and I saw badly rusted steel in quite a few places...That was enough for me...I wasn't going to buy. But I kept it to myself and had a good look round, under his supervision of course. Even got him to light the wood burner to see how well it heated the cabin and we had a cup of tea on board too.
The seller was a nice guy, in his 70's, so I broke it to him gently, wished him all the best, and that I hope he gets what he wants for it, and departed for home. Happy that I still had my deposit safely tucked in my pocket.
BTW...There was a lot of fuss here about the fuel consumption figures he gave me on the phone. It turns out he used 6 gallons to get to Calais from Sandwich, not 3 as he told me before, so hopefully that matter can be put to rest.
Meanwhile I'm still looking for 40 plus footer but with a wider beam. Surprisingly, there are plenty about, all professionally made and most for less than what the aforementioned seller wanted for Seawolf! (Just not in the UK) :(

Very sensible but even six gallons is pure fiction. You canna change the laws of physics!

Its almost possible, Sandwich to Calais is about 30 miles ish, a single 90hp diesel will only use about 1gph at 5/6 knots if it was fairly calm so allowing for a bit of poor measurement
and a bit of blarney not too far out for a displacement boat like that, a yacht under engine alone would have used even less.
So its quite possible he believed he only used 6 gallons, using an incorrect conversion of litres to gallons etc... a lot of people think a gallon is 5 litres ish... :)

As we no longer know the length of the boat we can't judge the waterline speed and the displacement is a big factor in a steel boat of this size. So he filled his tank to its full 21.9 gallons and set off on a flat calm day to avoid sludge pick-up (and I'll bet there's plenty in there!) once the level starts to drop. Yes, possible, if there was no tide to worry about, but highly unlikely.
Wonder what the next episode will cover.

i was going on a sea trial 3 gallon in the tank u take 5 gallon in a drum and charge him £22K TO GET BACK WHEN YOU JUST OFF DOVER IN THE SHHIT
