Please help test KTL website - dead links and speed

you might find

I downloaded the Broads HD vid and when I play it it's a bit jerky. Is it a low frame rate or is that my player that can't cope?

that it is something as simple as installing the latest driver for your soundcard

as one of the other denizens of this place has found when trying to play HD films

I would hate to think that my smooth camera work should be rendered jerky.

I was hoping that most machines could now cope with full screen video provided it is coming off the hard disk.

I do try pretty with the filming and to see people happy to watch it in a small window is obviously a bit sad - but there are people who watch just to see what happens next. For them size is not important.

Hmm. New Sony Vaio laptop. I'll check for an upgrade.

Ah, you said Soundcard. The sound is fine it's the vid that is the prob.

I'll try outputting to the telly via the HDMI output. Maybe that is higher quality.

sounds as though the laptop should cope

one way of proving it is to run the film in a smaller window

the video card will not have to run so hard - if it runs smoothly in a smaller window then you know that your display technology is not keeping pace

defragging the hard drive is also really important with running video smoothly
