Just registering my PLB on the OfCom website but it wants me to input a "Type" but got no idea what to put in there and nothing on the site or in the manual to indicate what I should put here, wont let me continue until I enter something.

From the linked publication as below:

“You can register the following types of UK 406 MHz beacon:
  • Personal Locator Beacon (PLB), for any use
  • Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) or Simplified Voyage-Data Recorder, for maritime use
  • Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) or ELT dongle, for aircraft use”
Register a UK 406 MHz beacon

Yeah, the MCA registration is easy but has to be registered with OfCom too, but during the registration process, it asks for a beacon type. No idea what to put. It's already in the PLB section.
Got the Manufacturer, Serial no. and Hex ID but cant continue without the type.

Are you using form OfW347?

If so the relent section should read:

H3. Beacon type
(from the label of the beacon)

Hope this helps.
