I had a great day at the Pill Rowing Regatta yesterday, the committee of which invited the Portishead Cruising Club to enter.

There where a selection of two and four cox rowing boats and a number of races.

Most people where just normal jo's having a go, so it was really funny.

I am going to watch the dingy racing at the Clevedon Sailing Club this afternoon, my dingy club and racing with Portishead Cruising Club on Monday. Crewing for Blue Pearl.

It is quite remarkable how much water sport, of all sorts, is enjoyed on the fast tidal, muddy Bristol Channel.

Excellent..

We had a great race at the Clevedon Sailing Club this afternoon. The second race was just between three Lasers but thrilling stuff and a very close result.

As the OOD I can tell you I was on the edge of my seat.

Looking forward to my race on Monday afternoon..

I must admit that I was enthralled by the Laser racing at my sailing club this weekend especially at the range of the age group participating.
On another note -- the amount of youngsters enjoying the harbour :- kayaking ,dingy racing ,in fact just messing about in the water.:D

I think it is wonderful too see so many people being able to take to water sports and there is such a variety available to people now.

At Clevedon on Sunday, we had dingy racing in the bay, Kyacking, Canadian Canoes and a model boat display on the marine lake.
