We have several Plastimo locker catches, and some of these have had the catch part snap. I've tried contacting Plastimo but have been steadily ignored by them.
Does anyone know of anywhere we can get replacements?
Yes, I have just replaced one on my washboard. Got it from Timages after a bit of a search. Their website is a bit old fashioned and had to be ordered by phone.
Try googling Protex stainless steel fasteners, wonderful stuff as used by the RNLI; though from what I saw on the wall of a pub Gent's loo recently you may have to google carefully !
They are still available on the Plastimo website as a complete unit for over £30, so the Timmages prices is very good.. However I'm reluctant to buy three new complete locks for £75 when its just the locking bar that's broken which can't be that much to make.
The Protex site and the Asap sites are amazing, thanks for that, it solves a problem I have on the anchor locker hatch where the old lock is disintegrating and I think there's a direct replacement.
I suspect I need to follow Yngmar's advice and pop down the local engineers and see if they can run me off 4 or 5 (we have a total of five of these on board, three have broken this year !)
