Plastimo inflatable......D ring attachment is pathetic

thanks G

they look a lot cheaper

does anyone know what is the correct glue for the plastimo I have

D

Its PVC ( unless its one of the Hypalon ones for charter use)
Use the two part PVC adhesive for a repair that's going to take a lot of load, not the single part one, and be sure to follow the instructions for cleaning and priming.
The cleaning solvent ( MEK I think) softens the PVC ready for the adhesive

And don't put new patch under load for a couple of days if possible.

At least because it takes 7 days to cure to the maximum bond strength .

Anther little point of interest I have just discovered is that "rubber" patches and fittings can be glued to PVC , with the PVC adhesive, provided they are primed with Hypalon adhesive.

Same applies if glueing PVC to wood. The wood should be primed with Hypalon adhesive. Failure to do that may explain the poor results experienced when gluing PVC tubes etc back to wooden transoms
