plastimo contest 101 compass

anyone got a plastimo 101 compass in blue surround and yellow card, i would like to know what the readability is at night, compared with a red card...

I have the red card, but also had to add a red bulb. I found the clear too bright, I also painted the hood inside with black to stop the light shining through. It may be that I am more sensitive to light than most, it can come in handy, I rarely need a torch, but on the other hand I am easily distracted by stray lights at night. I have to turn most instruments off when not in use.

Sorry, just an aside.

I must admit though, I am pleasantly surprised with the compass as a whole, nicely balanced, easy to read and clear. Keep meaning to buy a few spare covers though, I can feel ours starting to wear and not snap into place as it should when new, this will be the 3rd season.

Thanks for the reply dogwatch, obviously not a choice for most people, as the red card is the normal choice for most yachts..

I will order a yellow card and see how it fares in comparison to the red..
