Plastimo compass contest bulb

Dear Fountain of all boat knowledge. Anybody know the spec or where I can get a new bulb for the above compass? Its a tiny bulb thats pre assembled, I think, with 9" leads. It is unlikely to be led but it looks about that size. Its so small I can hardly see any element.Its simply a push fit, there are no threads or locating pins on it. etc. Any suggestions? Ta nik

try Maplins, you might get a LED to fit

The chandlers at Mylor normally keep them in stock -they come with the wire tails - I imagine other chandlers do as well.

Bought mine last year from Fox's, Ipswich. I can't imagine they are difficult to find.

try Maplins

Maplins do a clear 5mm 0.08amp wire ended bulb and a range of 3.2 mm coloured 65mA ones ( red blue green, red or yellow)

The chandlers at Mylor normally keep them in stock -they come with the wire tails - I imagine other chandlers do as well.

Make sure you twist the wires together when refitting, or the compass reading will be sh!t.
