I need the following (to do my headlining) but am having problems finding a supplier, needs to be 2mm thick (ish) plastic sheet, rigid, but slightly flexible.

Any supplier ideass?

Units: 1 Length: 1000mm Width/Diameter: 1300mm
Units: 2 Length: 300mm Width/Diameter: 1000mm
Units: 1 Length: 1100mm Width/Diameter: 1400mm
Units: 2 Length: 1000mm Width/Diameter: 350mm
Units: 2 Length: 1300mm Width/Diameter: 400mm
Units: 2 Length: 1100mm Width/Diameter: 300mm

Don't quite follow your dimensions. Headlining material is usually vynil, possibly foam backed and sold from fixed width rolls by the metre.

Suggest Hawke House as a supplier for both the material and adhesives.

Toomer & Hayter - if still going - supplied a lot of the foam backed vinyl often used for headling, some people apply it directly, some fit it to a thin ply sheet which is easier to remove for fitting backing pads etc.

For actual plastic / polycarbonate type sheets look up 'perspex' in your area, there are loads of suppliers.

ok, so the dimensions are wrong i give you that, it was a cut and paste job from an email, i need:-

2mm thick (ish) plastic sheet, rigid, but slightly flexible.

1x Length: 1000mm Width: 1300mm
2x Length: 300mm Width: 1000mm
1x Length: 1100mm Width: 1400mm
2x Length: 1000mm Width: 350mm
2x Length: 1300mm Width: 400mm
2x Length: 1100mm Width: 300mm

Not quite what you have in mind but have you considered UPVC cladding sheets which come in 4,8 and 12" maybe wider and up to 4M long - the advantage of this stuff is that it has a hollow box section about 10mm thick which stops condensation completely. Also fixing screws are concealed under the overlapping tongue/groove structure, being very light is very easy to fit with screws or adhesive. All the manufacturers have a complete range of edge, trim and H section centre trim- very cheap and quick to fit without great DIY skills.

thanks but this is no good, i have removed the existing headlining and it consists of vinyl stuck onto 2mm formica boards (looks like formice anyway)

I have the replacement vinyl ready to go, and thought that finding the replacement sheet would be easy, but i cant find a supplier, hence the post

OK, now I see what you want. 2mm perspex is available, but probably not the best material. Normal would be plywood - relatively cheap, easy to cut, vynil sticks to it easily. Robbins Timber do a 3mm birch ply that would be suitable. Formica is also easy to get - Yellow Pages for Kitchen work top manufacturers, but expensive and not easy to cut if you don't have the proper saw.

I think mayby what you want is styrene sheet. You can score it with a knife, then snap it and it breaks to your scored line. Available in.25 to 3mm.
Same stuff more or less as a credit card
