It seems that various threads are trailing off into plans for the weekends so perhaps the weekend ought to have a thread of it's own?

As previosuly mentioned, we're intending to head up to Emsworth on Saturday afternoon. We'll be up nice and early to catch the tide on sunday morning and have the full day in the harbour before returning to our berth up Mengeham Rythe on the afternoon flood.
 
Good Idea

Down to Kames - aboard boat and then pop round to Colintraive or Wreck Bay.

Weather not looking brilliant for this weekend, but hope to circumnavigate.

Having spent the last two weekends doing last minute panic boat prep work, this weekend we are sailing. Judders, we will look out for you, we will be heading from Northney about midday. If there is enough wind then Yarmouth is our destination. We dont want to be motoring though.

Judders are you going to Emsworth marina then?

Well the best laid plans of mice and tidal sailors and all that but yes, the intention is to go to Emsworth. I think that the earliest we can slip the mooring is about 1300 but we'll then have to stop to drop the dingy off. Should be gybing our way up Emsworth reach during the mid afternoon.

Yellow hull, blue duster. Do give us a shout.

I think we'll be away before then, about 12.00 to get the first of the west going tide at West Pole.

Unblocking a sea toilet!!!!!!!!!!!

It was I as skipper who put too much paper down the toilet last weekend so it’s me who has to unblock it.

I spent two hours stripping it down last Sunday so can only assume the blockage is in the main pipe which runs from the sea cock to the toilet pump.

Think of me tomorrow trying to unblock, if I can’t free it the boat is up for sale.
 
First singlehanded sail in new boat on Saturday and pottering about the Blackwater on Sunday with SWMBO. Late afternoon tides in these parts a bit restricting although I keep having to remind myself it's only April and not June - oh for weather like this in June!

Go to a rehearsal for a kids Ballet that I have to do the Stage lighting for next weekend.

BBQ to celebrate sons 22nd Birthday lunch time.

p.m. Check over outboard and carry on sorting out Sirenia for launch in 2 weeks

Sunday.
Take new dinghy to Ramsholt and check out Sailorman's mooring that He is kindly letting us use this year.

My father fulfilled such a promise in September 1990 by taking me to watch Sheffield Wednesday. I have never been truly happy since. If only he had taken me sailing...
