Yes we will be also be mainly coastal cruising. I think the idea of not spending so much and keeping 'a float' excuse the Pun, is a good idea. However we need a least two heads and two good double cabins, to keep the misses sweet. Note you comment regarding decent power needed in the Med and duly noted.

Wow 1.5ltrs per hour thats so good, you dont want to know what our Motorboat is running at per hour, but definately not as efficient as that. Im looking forward to the change over to cruising, however im not sure we will be making any saving as fuel stores will probally be replaced with wine.

Ive never sailed a big cats I have only sailed small racing cats, obviously completely different. We have not considered a cat before, always been put us off them by people telling us how much they costs to moor, we are going to Palma boat show in April so before we make any decisions we will take a look and explore. I like the idea of having more space in the saloon, not sure but we open to ideas, thanks you for your input.
