Places to visit in Tenerife?

My mate has gone to our boat, which is based in Tenerife. His original plan was to go to La Gomera for a day, then on to Santa Cruz de La Palma; this may not be possible with the fires on La Gomera.

I have mainly explored Tenerife from land, so I don't know the best places to visit by boat. Any suggestions?
 
i always enjoyed Las Galletas. Bit more of a local place. Or Mogan over in Gran canaria is quite nice, can get a bit breezy on the way over though. Where / what's the boat?

Shame about Gomera, still have friends over there, facebook pics look awful. Such a pretty island.
 
Been there a few times - a review of the marinas and anchorages I've visited is HERE, a few years old now. Includes Antequera Bay, Santa Cruz, Radazul, Albona Bay, Las Galetas, Puerto Colon, Los Gigantes, Los Christianos, San Sebastian de Gomera and Gran Rey.

Don't give up on La Gomera - the news items we saw earlier this week show the fires to be in the Laurel forests in the highest part of the island and at the top end of Valley Gran Rey.
San Sebastian, which is where the marina is, seems to be well clear of the fires. There is apparently no problem spending a night there.
The island of La Palma is well worth visiting and, in our opinion, is the nicest Canary island. The marina at Santa Cruz de la Palma is near the town centre but is subject to swell. Boats are almost never still and can sometimes move around quite uncomfortably.
There is a much better marina on the western side of La Palma in Tazacorte. You'll get a warm welcome from Janet, the London- born marina administrator. Buses pass the marina gates giving access to the rest of the island and some of the nicest and most varied walking country you will find.

Absolutely no problems in the marina at San Sebastian de la Gomera. Everything is normal. Fires have mostly been put out in the national park, Valle de Gran Rey and Vallhermosa. Superscoopers been at it for a couple of days, must have dropped well over 2 million litres of water on the fires.
