We are taking the outlaws out for the day and would like to know a good place to moor up and have a BBQ. Leaving Bray around 11 am so nothing too far.
Any ideas? We have done Eton embankment a few times so maybe something up river with having a good chance of a space.
Thanks.

Or the weirstream at Cookham ? come out of the head lock cut and turn left , about 50 yards down there used to be a clearing , with a deepwater mooring that you could only get to by river.

Cookham past the Ferry pub/restaurant plenty of good places to BBQ if you can't get on the mown grass/mooring rings go past the sailing club and moor there. Just watch the depth on a few moorings or make sure you pull the outdrive leg up if we are ok I know you will be :)

1.5 to 2 hours depending on the locks, it's a lovely run so your outlaws should enjoy it!

The depth at Cookham is quite eratic in some places, I normally send my crew up front to keep a look out and keep a close watch on my depth gage.
