Hi all

my pitot as shown on the pic is not working - any suggestions would be welcome as to what to look out for. I have blown and retracted air from the inlet section and not made any difference. I am quite happy to call it a dud and ignore it but just wondered if there are any easy fixes

oh just for interest I have treated my prop to the TK spray as recommended on here so will see how it performs

thanks in advance

There is not much to go wrong its just a fancy shaped hole, its either blocked or not, blow down the tube and see if bubbles come out:)

Mine has never worked.. I can blow into the pipe behind the speedometer and bubbles can be seen coming out of the pick-up but it doesn't show the speed.. Usually just use my phone with a speedometer app if I want to know my speed.. :)

Quoted as only suitable for 3 months worth of immersion

I've just done mine before I found out (& launched :ambivalence:|). Maybe jfm was lucky.

ah well it was never treated before with no problems so anything is a bonus. Thanks for replies re pitot its not blocked but as Spi D said maybe time for an upgrade and like Wipeout, I can use GPS systems on board .I just wondered that's all.

Thanks again for all replies much appreciated.
