Yes they mended it, had a good few years out of it, sold it about 18 months ago and now have a Sealine T47. The Humber now lives on a mooring in the Folly reach and the new owner has done at least one West Country cruise.I’m slightly worried that the new piston may be a different weight if it’s not exactly the same make. You might get a “rocking couple” effect which may cause vibration or knock out a main bearing. I guess easy to check against your other pistons but not sure what to do if it’s different.
